Programs I have bought or tried.

Active Worlds - Chat Browser, membership first year $69.95 then $49.95. 3D graphics etc.
ActivIcons - store for recovering desktop layouts, altering icon graphics, etc. Bug Problems
Ad-Aware Plus - freeware with purchase option. Scans HDDs and registry, Cleans out Trojans.
AdSubtract Pro - removes ads - blocks cookies, referrers, Java, etc. allows named trusted sites.
Avi2Mpeg - Converts Avi files to mpeg. Compressed and graphic accelerator compatible.
Backup Plus - Scheduled backups. Single file restore possible.
IntelliCAD 2000 - was freeware - Serious technical drawing program, 448 page on disc manual.
Clickomania - freeware - logic game. Simple rules. Complex to win. Terribly addictive.
Dir2text - reads a directory (folder) writes a txt file csv file or html file of the file/path names.
Directory to file - reads a single directory, writes a text file of filenames, sizes and saved times.
DX-Ball2 - an arcade game, addictive. Game is freeware with 25 screens, 150 screen packs $15 ea.
Easy CD Creator - Roxio, (was Adaptec), easy to use, won't directly copy a disc though...?
Easy CD-DA Extractor - CD to MP3 Conversions. Ripping to HDD, auto folder & file names etc.
Easy Web Design - HTML generator. Completely let down by lack of help/documentation.
Express Assist - Backups for Outlook Express mailboxes, I don't use OE anymore, see PocoMail
EZ Desk - Stores Desktop layouts for each screen mode, plus extras for different uses.
fileWATCH - This can list every file added removed or updated between scans. Track Trojans..
Gator - Form filling Trojan Horse software Review with alternative freeware suggestion
GetRight - Secure and split downloads. recover from server dropouts, restart at current position
GoBack 3 - Brilliant recovery program, when things go pear shaped, restore everything as it was.
HotDog Pro 6 - HTML generator/editor. Not a Visual Editor, but a coder's dream
Lotus Millenium - Suite of database, spreadsheet, word processor, chart maker, etc.
MGSoft Gamepack - 22 block puzzle games, mostly logic & suitable for ataxic players
Microsoft Visual Studio 6 Pro - Basic, C++, Foxpro, Interdev, J++, MSDN, Web Publisher, & tools
mIRC - a text based chat client for IRC network, used for Ataxia Chat.
MP3 Collector - Editor for MP3; Tags, playlist files, etc. also catalogues MP3's
Nero 5.5 - CD-R(W) burning software. Does most things, mostly quite well.
Norton Systemworks 2002 - Anti-virus, system and registry checker/fixer, install monitor, etc.
NTI CD Maker 2000 - never worked properly. Similar to Roxio's Easy CD but less reliable.
Ontrack Internet Cleaner - Ad-Subtract is better. Also shows plugins, directX and recent files.
PageWiz - HTML generator/editor. Looks Great but crashes constantly, locks up
PocoMail - Programmable mail client, sort mail, check it and delete it pre-download. Easy backups.
Pretty Good Solitaire - Very undersold, this is the ultimate, 100's of solitaire card games.
Quicken - Comprehensive financial accounting package, Not too American, adapts to foreign usage.
RoboForm - Form Filling Software which respects privacy, for free, or at cost, a Pro Version
ScreenGrab Pro - Freeware - grabs windows etc. as bmp files, has timer.
Ultra-Edit - A comprehensive file editor, text/hex modes, macros, etc. handles mostly everything.
Winamp - Freeware - A Simple and fast Music file player. I love it.
WinTune - System test and benchmarks, outputs a text report.
Winzip - The file zipper for compact data storage and transfer.
Worlds.com - Freeware viewer, For 3D Chat. Avatars, graphics. Free or $25/yr full access.
WS_FTP - FTP client, uploads sites, does everything re file transfer between pc's and the net.
Zone Alarm Pro - Freeware Firewall, upgradable to full version. Controls modem using programs
