My Review (I am not a reviewer - Its just one personal view)
This is a fully professional 3D technical drawing program, suitable for designing an hotel, an aircraft, or an ocean liner. For designing a wall cabinet, or a garden shed, it soon becomes apparent that a lot of learning is required, and even drawing a straight line, requires planning. Nothing is intuitive, nothing is simple, and it is not a program for beginners. It is apparently competitive with AUTOCAD, and can read or write the '.drw' files, and thus file compatible. The problem is, it doesn't come set up for easy use. It does everything but requires you to set up everything. Once you have your line on screen (initially invisible with no thickness, a superbly well thought out default, I don't think), you have to set up the output. to printer, etc. etc. This is a draughtsmans program and seemingly well priced. I would imagine it has many man years of programming. I would not pay for it, I can't use it, it needs training and study. It could be a college subject of its own. Don't save on the manual, you'll need it, the published version, to print it yourself, it will use a lot of ink, I used 2 black cartridges and 1.5 colour, and hours of putting pages into pockets, a ream of paper. No just buy it. $60 is cheaper. |
