My Review (I am not a reviewer - Its just one personal view)

At first I thought, 'great, just what I need'.. I didn't use it for long. Here's why:

The reason for this program is to address some real deficiencies in the way Outlook Express handles mailboxes. It is now clear to me that for around the price of this program, there is a choice of mailers that are far superior, and which store their mailboxes in standard file and folder arrays. So if OE + this = perfect was anywhere near true, it might be a contender, but no!

This program works great until you need it! This may be when you have problems upgrading Outlook and you lose the mailboxes. In this case you may find, as did I, that your old restored mailboxes are not compatible with the upgrade. You then have to reload the original OE, restore the mail, and start again.

Or perhaps, you are doing a clean install, in which case, you have to re-install Express Assist, re-enter your registration key. Here is the trap, it's in an email, which you probably can't read, until you've restored the mailboxes. But if perchance, you have the registration email, printed out, and you get the program working fine, The codes for the backups and settings apparently have disappeared, perhaps they were stored in the original program folder. Whatever, my new install of the program didn't read the old backups correctly, stuffed was I, like a parrot. Until you restore from your standard backups, that is.. Kinda defeats the object, huh!

I'm sure there is a use for this software, but until I discover it, I'll rely on my weekly backups, since I ended up using them anyway.

I seriously suggest you do as I have done, and spend your cash on a decent alternative mail client, I use Pocomail. There's also Eudora, etc.

So all in all, an attempt to make up for some of the failings of Outlook Express, but it's not thought through, nor cheap enough to make junking OE not the best option of all.
