My Review (I am not a reviewer - Its just one personal view)
There is no program help menu, just a readme in the program folder on the shareware version. There is a standard '.hlp' file in the full version, which you could add to your start menu. This puts the desktop layouts back together after a mode change, or when 'Windows' restarts in minimum mode and stuffs your layouts. (nb. Windows XP doesn't lose the desktop layouts) It also records folder setups for when 'Windows' resets it's registry after traumatic crashes. It can be set to start with 'Windows'. When running, it provides several system hot keys including a system shutdown, also it can store more than one desktop for one or more modes, allowing setups for specific tasks to be maintained. It was originally written for Win95, but now covers 'Windows' up to 2000. If installed on an earlier OS, it continues to work over an 'XP' upgrade, but although the unregistered version works on XP It won't install the registered version. The installer errors and crashes. I miss the alternative desktops and hotkeys. Also note: Online payment carries a premium. |
