My Review (I am not a reviewer - Its just one personal view)

First you get it to scan for your MP3s and it creates a base datafile with everything it can work out from your files. You can then re-edit stuff, so that the composer is filed, artistes on a 'various artiste' collection, and all the extras a CDDB search wont give you, so that a search for Bach's Violin Concertos finds Berlin Philharmonic, & Wurttemberg Chamber versions, even if they were on compilation albums.

Different genres or artistes on a single album, are rarely annotated, but you can do this, for fine tuning groupings, and searches. Add new genres, rate tracks, suitability for parties, etc. Then they could be grouped by a search or a sort of these tag properties. When you do these edits they are recorded in the MP3 header tags, so they follow your mp3 automatically from then on.

I have almost 1500 tracks copied to hard drive now, and this churns out playlists to suit any mood, now that I have got my categories how I want them. I have loads of vinyl LPs I mean to transfer, and I estimate about 450 hours, maybe 10000 tracks so a serious amount of time there.. At least the cataloguing is now a minor task!

If you are a serious music collector this sort of program is crucial, and this particular one is a standard.
