My Review (I am not a reviewer - Its just one personal view)
This is a brilliant program which allows me to only download mail from those I know, auto-filed directly into their own folders. I impose rules which delete unwanted mail often pre-download, and leave dubious ones on the server for an executive decision. all automatically! In this way, virtually no spam nor nuisance mail, gets anywhere near my PC and I waste no time downloading trash via my tragicly slow connection!. The filtering wizards make programming a breeze, and the script language (for advanced stuff) is quite straightforward, with a number of downloadable and useful sample routines, many of which can be tailored, so saving your own efforts. Mail is stored to disc, in a straight-forward manner, using standard directory paths from the Pocomail 'Mail' Directory. This makes backups a breeze, but it has a built in backup, which is easily automated, so that alone knocks OE into a cocked hat. Transferring, mail across PCs is easy with this, and no viruses that target OE are of any concern Infrequently, if something crunches the machine, whilst the mailer is active, it can lose its setup options, this doesn't occur much with 2.6. The backup allows you many options of what to store, or restore; so a restore without the mail, allows total recovery with no loss of interim mail. This is such good value.. just a brilliant buy. |
