My Review (I am not a reviewer - Its just one personal view)

This is a 3D visual chat site, with 'worlds' and where you, as an avatar (very impressive ones, human, animal or whatever) can walk about, or just chat. People here tend to whisper 1-2-1 so it is not very sociable, though I try! It is not as friendly as ActiveWorlds. (or maybe too friendly!) You are anonymous here. and there is an anonymous email server. using nicknames. (I am either RodinsLad or DedFick here. I have whispers rejected, but you can use 'Go There')

The program is slow and crashes fairly often. I have a CD version 1578 I think, which works fine but some of it's worlds have gone, and some new worlds are not supported. It needs a fairly fast connection, and mine at only 31kbps may account for some of the unreliability. But @1.7GHz my cpu is definitely not the problem, for a program that claims to run on a 133MHz system.

It is an idea to cleanout your cookies after visiting here, but I have had nothing nasty from here.

You need to accept Java here, and to have the microsoft Java virtual machine software, which I would expect that the site will download to you if you don't have it. Despite this I have had no problems from this site, just the usual ads and trackers which you can block (if you have the software) with no loss of use. Cheap 3D site, cheap service, no way free of chat abuse and idiots..

If you get friends here, its good value. Otherwise its an experience not worth the price. (but I'm still a member... hmm!) also did I mention, you can cook your tea and eat it while it logs in, but I would keep an eye out in case it dies. Best to keep the connection 'status' window in view and watch for long inactivity.
